The first ESS Fine Grain medium beta (beta=0.67) cavity prototype has been tested yesterday, as planned, and the results have been excellent.
The attached picture shows Eacc=22.9 MV/m @ Q=6.5e9, to be compared with the ESS specs: Eacc=16.7 MV/m @ Q=5e9.
